Required Documentary Proof for Domain Name Registration

In addition to domain name registration form, declaration of agreement and cheque / bank draft, applicant needs to provide the organization's registration certificate or the below-mentioned documentary proof according to different doman name categories. Details are as below:

Domain Name Category Organizations's Registration Certificate and License Other Documentary Proofs
Applicants who apply for "com.mo" domain name or the associated ".mo" domain name
  1. Copy of business registration certificate issued by Conservatoria dos Registos Comerical e de Bens Moveis (within 1 year validity); or
  2. Copy of declaration of business establishment (M1 form) issued by Financial Services Bureau (within 1 year validity); or
  3. Copy of registration certificate of offshore company issued by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (within 1 year validity); or
  4. Copy of sales tax collection notice (M8 form) issued by Financial Services Bureau (within 1 year validity); or
  5. Copy of other business registration certificates issued by other departments of the Macao Government (within 1 year validity).

Remark: If the presented documents exceeded 1 year validity, applicants need to provide other supplementary proof or declaration to justify the reason. The MONIC would consider the acceptancy according to the information provided.
  1. Applicants who apply for domain name with their trademark / service mark / patent must provide the copy of the registration certificate of the trademark / service mark /patent from the Macao Government, or the related authorization letter if necessary.
  2. For those applicants who apply for domain name that is consistent to the name of the organization, if the provided organization registration certificate cannot show the consistency between the organization name and the domain name, they must provide other documentary proof (such as copy of restaurant license) and justification.
Applicants who apply for "org.mo" domain name or the associated ".mo" domain name
  1. Copy of constitution of the applied organization published in the Macao Official Bulletin; or
  2. Copy of organization registration certificate issued by the Macau Government.
  1. Applicants who apply for domain name with their trademark / service mark / patent must provide the copy of the registration certificate of the trademark / service mark /patent from the Macao Government, or the related authorization letter if necessary.
  2. For those applicants who apply for domain name that is consistent to the name of the organization, if the provided organization registration certificate cannot show the consistency between the organization name and the domain name, they must provide other documentary proof and justification.
  3. Applicants who apply for short term domain name must provide the justification for the related nonprofit services and activities.
Applicants who apply for "edu.mo" domain name or the associated ".mo" domain name
  1. Copy of educational institution license or certificate of recognition as an education related institution issued by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.
  1. Applicants who apply for domain name with their trademark / service mark / patent must provide the copy of the registration certificate of the trademark / service mark /patent from the Macao Government, or the related authorization letter if necessary.
  2. For those applicants who apply for domain name that is consistent to the name of the organization, if the provided organization registration certificate cannot show the consistency between the organization name and the domain name, they must provide other documentary proof and justification.
  3. Applicants who apply for short term domain name must provide the justification for the related nonprofit services and activities.
Applicants who apply for "net.mo" domain name or the associated ".mo" domain name
  1. Copy of institution registration certificate (within 1 year validity) issued by the related Maco Government department (Please refer to the above required documents (1 - 5) of .com.mo application; and
  2. Copy of License for Provision of Internet Service or License for Provision of Telecommunication Service or other authorization documents from the Macao Government.
